Judy Reese Morse, Co-Chair
Chief of Staff, Office of Lieutenant Governor
Judy Reese Morse is the Chief of Staff in the Office of Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu. In this role, she oversees the LA Serve Commission, Encore Louisiana Commission, International Relations and Legislative Outreach. She is the chief liaison with the executive management team in the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, which is overseen by the Lt. Governor's Office. She is also the Lt. Governor's designee on the State Bond Commission and the state's Interim Emergency Board. Morse has worked with the Lt. Governor's office since January 2004.
Prior to joining the Lieutenant Governor's Office, Morse worked for five years at National Public Radio in Washington, DC. There, she served as director of corporate communications, focusing primarily on attracting new audiences as public radio listeners.
Her career also includes work on the federal level. Morse was selected as a Presidential Management Fellow and served for two years at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Resolution Trust Corporation.
She also worked on Capitol Hill in the office of former Congresswoman Lindy Boggs as a special projects assistant.
Prior to that time, she spent seven years at WWL-TV in New Orleans having worked as a producer and assistant director of public affairs.
Morse has an undergraduate degree in Communications from Loyola University in New Orleans. She earned a Master of Public Administration degree from American University in Washington, DC.
She is the wife of Chuck Morse and the mother of Grace (10) and Trey (7). She is a native New Orleanian.
