Task Force Vision

Every neighborhood has the opportunity to innovate and improve its social, economic, and physical environment.

Task Force Mission

The Neighborhood Development Task Force was tasked to recommend ways for the incoming administration to effectively partner with neighborhood residents and leaders in order to improve the quality of life for all residents of New Orleans.

  • Recommend the best ways for city government to interact with neighborhoods.
  • Identify ways for city government to provide financial information, support and access to grant funds available to neighborhoods.
  • Recommend a role for city government in building capacity of neighborhood leaders/associations.
  • Identify planning priorities that lead to the development holistic and healthy neighborhoods.
