Blight Task Force

Task Force Mission

New Orleans has over 60,000 blighted structures, which undermine the quality of life for all citizens and present a significant obstacle to economic growth. We must aggressively eradicate blight and return properties to commerce to ensure that our community is an attractive place to live, work and play. The Blight Task Force will recommend a strategic plan for blight eradication, including code enforcement best practices, promotion of rehabilitation and objective benchmarks.
